HIAB - Truck Mounted Crane

HIAB training

The Lorry Mounted Crane is also referred to as the manufacturers' name of HIAB or Palfinger. These cranes are mounted on the platform of the truck or the vehicle chassis, they are then operated by the driver to load and offload goods from the lorry, they can also be used in places where accessibility is a challenge like construction sites or where there is no other means to offload the vehicle. The crane can have various attachments including a hook, clamp or a bucket and may be operated by hydraulic levers on the lorry or by using a remote control unit. London Forklift Training offers training on all types of HIAB – cranes.
